Located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the heart of Philadelphia, Paine's Park is a huge step forward in Philadelphia's move towards creating a more skate-friendly city. The project was first conceptualized in 2002, and nine years later, has become a reality, focusing on skateboarding, landscape architecture, and city planning - where space is designed to accommodate skateboarding as an important energizing force behind the life and movement of public space. Groundbreaking will take place in the Spring of 2012, with an anticipated completion in fall 2012.
