Description
Located inside the Philadelphia Zoo, the award-winning Big Cat Falls exhibit lets visitors come face-to-face with big cats from all over the world. Three educational pavilions – Africa, the Americas and Asia – connect each viewing area. The real-world safari environment contains indigenous plants and landscaping from 30 nurseries worldwide and features an up-close look at the lives of more than 20 animals, including snow leopards, jaguars, pumas, tigers and lions. As Project Manager and Owner’s Representative on the project, NorthStar coordinated all design and construction staff, and worked as an extension of the Zoo’s internal team through completion. One of the Philadelphia Zoo’s most popular exhibits, Big Cat Falls welcomes nearly 1.1 million visitors each year.
